Early season picking starts Wednesday, July 11
Our early season variety, Weymouth, is starting to ripen. The berries are starting to "popcorn" on the bushes, with blue popping here and there. Most berries we sampled were still tart and unripe, so we decided to wait a few more days.
We'll provide more information next week.

Wednesday morning, July 4, we started to mulch the sunflowers. We do not always have time to mulch the flowers, but it helps to keep the weeds down. I'll post pictures later but the sunflowers are all about 12 inches tall with several sets of leaves showing.
